Newsletter

The Association’s newsletter, First Day Coverage, provides a much valued forum for airing different opinions and viewpoints.

It is published six times a year on the first day of every other month and is sent out free to members. The emphasis is on contributions from the membership and there are often several pages of Readers’ Letters. Our preference as a society is to send out the newsletter as a .pdf as this keeps down costs and reduces the environmental impact of producing a newsletter, however we are conscious that many members prefer a paper copy.

When you join the society we will offer you the choice to have either the electronic or the paper version but don’t worry if you wish to change your preference later as we can easily do this for you at any time.

Under the current editor, Mrs Phil Sheridan, many improvements in the presentation and content of the newsletter have been made, in what is a continuing process. If you feel that you could contribute to the growth of the Society and the newsletter then please let us know.

Contents

With twenty or more pages per issue, First Day Coverage is packed with information and interesting articles.

It provides comprehensive information about the tremendous variety of first day covers produced for each new British commemorative stamp issue.

It has special offers from the Association and advertisements from many cover producers and dealers. Whatsmore, members frequently place their own advertisements to buy, sell or exchange covers.
