The Association of Great Britain First Day Cover Collectors (GBFDC) was formed in 1994 to enable people who collect British first day covers to contact each other and learn more about the hobby. Since then GBFDC has grown steadily and now has around 335 members. Most members are in the UK, but an important minority are overseas.

ACTIVITIES

The main activities of the Association are:

1. Producing our own limited edition Official British first day covers , available exclusively to members at issue;

2. Publishing a bi-monthly newsletter, "First Day Coverage", sent free to members;

3. Holding British first day cover postal auctions, open to members and non-members alike; and

4. Organising informal regional pub meetings and an Annual General Meeting with an associated British first day cover fair.
